Rice with Corn
Serving Size: 2-4 People
Mom's Method
Ingredients:

Cup of Rice
-
2 cloves of Garlic
-
2 Tbsp. of Chicken Flavor Bouillon
-
Can of corn
-
Stick of Butter
Steps:
-
Rinse the rice 2-3 times
-
Add 2 cups of water in pot, 1 cup of rice
-
Ratio is 2:1; Water:Rice​

​Then add rest of ingredients;
-
​2 cloves of garlic
-
Can of corn (no juice)
-
1-2 tbsp. of butter
-
2 tbsp. of Bouillon
-
-
Mix together and let sit for 15-20 min. on medium heat
-
Check every few minutes​
-
if hard rice, add more water​
-
Stir only if needed, but leave alone to cook for the most part
-

Serve yourself, and enjoy!

Fried Rice
Irma's Go-To
Ingredients:

4 cups water to 2 cups white rice
-
â…” cup chopped carrots
-
½ cup green peas
-
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
-
1 clove garlic, minced
-
2 eggs
-
2 cups white rice
-
1 tbsp. soy sauce
-
2 tsp. sesame oil
Steps:

Rinse rice 2-3 times
-
Place 4 cups of water in pan with 2 cups of rice
-
Let sit on medium heat for 20 min. or until ready
-

Put carrots in pan with water
-
Let boil and cook for 3-5 min., then put peas and stir for 1 min., then drain in a colander.​

In pan with oil on high heat, stir carrots and peas with garlic for 30 sec.
-
Then add eggs and scramble together until mixed well
-

Stir in cooked rice, and add soy sauce, mix, then add sesame oil and toss once more.

Grab a plate, and enjoy!
Grilled Asparagus
Serving Size: 2-4 People

Ingredients:

16 Oz. Asparagus
-
Olive Oil
-
Salt
-
Pepper
-
Soy sauce
Steps:

Rinse Asparagus 1-2 times
-
Cut white/purple ends of asparagus

Preheat grill on high heat with light oil
-
Lightly coat the asparagus with olive oil
-
Season with salt, pepper, a pinch of soy sauce (to your liking), and mix together
-
Cook asparagus for 4-6 minutes until charred and tender
-
Serve yourself, and enjoy!
Grilled Carrots and Onions
Dad's Go To
Ingredients:

1 Rainbow Carrot Bunch
-
½ Onion
-
Olive oil
-
Soy sauce
-
Pepper
Steps:

Rinse carrots 1-2 times
-
Boil carrots until med-soft for 5-7 min. ​​

Meanwhile, chop onions and put to fry in pan of light oil
-
Place carrots with onions once done boiling​
-
Add a pinch of soy sauce and pepper, then mix
-

Fry for about 5 min., then serve and enjoy!
